We are second generation builders and proud of it!

Our president, David DiMaio grew up in a construction family on Long Island, NY. David learned his trade working on skyscrapers in New York City, as well as with numerous fast-food chains, before turning his attention to residential construction in the 1980s.

In 1992, Linda joined David and together the dynamic husband and wife duo developed, built and sold a retirement community on Long Island’s south end.

In 2004, the duo did what most Northers do, they retired and move to South Carolina. Although, they realized that retirement was not for them, not yet at least. David and Linda decided to create a custom home building company, combing two things they love most, construction and family!

And thus, Summerwind Homes was born!

Recently, the family has expanded their love for building into North Carolina & Williamsburg, Virginia.
